My ASOS Wishlist: May Fashion Favourites

Okay, when did May even end?

It may have been in the flurry of final assignments so I do apologise for the slight delay of this post. However, as always, you will find my lust list, items that will either be me grasping at the memory of warmer weather or items to get me through the windy, rainy days that now consume my mid year holidays.

Shall we?

1. ASOS Padded Jacket in Fluro Jacquard

Papped Jacquard

Winter is truly here, after the challenge of finding something warm enough is trying to get it in a colour other than black, grey or navy. I am a huge fan of the all black outfit but it is beautifully refreshing to see some colour and patterns on a brisk winter morning.

2. Reclaimed Vintage Inspired Straw Tassel Clutch Bag

TasselClutch

So, I do love a tassel. It’s definitely more of a summer staple and rarely comes out in the winter but when you see something you love, it might not always be the perfect situation for it to enter your wardrobe. I will keep this in my wishlist for a while longer and if I still lust over it, even when I’m far away from my computer, I’ll buy it in anticipation of a warmer time.

3. Tommy Hilfiger Denim Multi Colour Sweatshirt

tommy sweatshirt

Sweatshirts are now far from being a just something you wear around the house while eating a bag of chips. If it was up to me I’d have a sweatshirt in every colour, to wear over jeans, over a ditsy floral dress or to go sports luxe and put on some trackies and crisp sneakers (a look I wish I could get away with wearing).

4. ASOS Stripe Beanie

beanie

Accessories are part of what makes dressing in winter so much fun. Layering up coats over jackets, as well as hats and scarfs, makes each of your outfits individual and exciting. This beanie I could see seamlessly fall into my wardrobe, especially with it’s pink+red combo which are the colour bff’s of the moment (in case you didn’t already know).

5. ASOS Highwaist Cigarette Pants

Pink pants

The fact I don’t already have hot pink pants almost makes me sad. Sad until I see how much of a bargain these are and how flattering this style is and then I think, maybe, just maybe, they should just jump out of my wishlist and into my basket.

6. ASOS PETITE CASTILE Pencil Straight Leg Jeans in Mono Stripe

Stripe Jeans

There is some part of my 90’s childhood wishes in these pants. I dreamt of jeans like this for such a long time and I just can’t seem to recall exactly where the obsession came from (Lauren Graham in Gilmore Girls definitely had a similar pair but is that the only place it stemmed?). The point I’m trying to make here is that it was an instant want with these. The array of punk inspired, 90’s grunge outfits that come to mind make me think these guys won’t be in my wishlist for long.

Plus, have you noticed how you need some pants other than denim as winter rolls in? Denim is always a good idea, even though it isn’t the warmest, but we need something to mix things up with the weather getting too killer for bare legs. Some pants, trousers and coloured denim are all I really need to mix things up.

I’m going to encourage you to subscribe and check back in on the blog soon because I’m in dire need of some winter attire and I’m going to do a nice Winter Clothing Haul blog soon, where I can show you all some of the things I’ve been investing in for Winter. This is going to be extensive (months worth of buying) so I look forward to sharing it with you all.

What’s on your Wishlist at the moment?

My ASOS Wishlist: April Fashion Favourites

Welcome to another ASOS Wishlist.

Welcome to the modern day Gen Y predicament of no homes of our own, rent that’s equivalent to half your weekly pay and having little to no money to spend on what you love.

Yes, this fashion obsessed girl is just dreaming of pieces rather than buying them. Don’t worry, Mum, if you are reading this, I’m not spending my money on clothes. I just spend every day watching what is ‘New In’ on ASOS, and saving all my heart desires.

  1. ASOS Velvet Bralet with Beading and Lace Up Back

    Velvet beaded bralet

Velvet might be dropping off from the crazy trends list but it’s certainly not gone. It’s something I’ve loved for a long time, something I will continue to wear. This bralet with velvet and beading is cute all on it’s own. You won’t have to do any of the work. Probably not the thing to be investing in as the days in Melbourne are beginning to feel bitterly cold, however, I’m a bit layer-er…er… So, even having this peeking through an oversized fur coat would be so cute for a night out as the weather is so bleak.

2.Vans Classic Leather Old Skool Sneakers With Rainbow Trim

Vans oldskool rainbow trim

White = Always on trend. Leather = Always practical. Rainbow = Always fun.
So, ahhh, the math is there for you.

3.Monki Printed Peg Leg Pants

Monki Peg Leg Printed Pants

Patterned trousers are a godsend in the cooler months. How are we supposed to stray from our perfect jeans every outfit…? But eventually jeans start to all look the same and you need something new to style that will re-energise your wardrobe. And for only $50 aud, these pants just can’t go wrong.

4. Warehouse Faux Shearling Jacket

Warehouse Shearling Jacket

Shearling, Fur, Feathers, Suede, Velvet. Honestly, who needs texture-less fabrics. Not me.

5. ASOS Pom Flower Drop Earrings

Pom drop earrings

Accessories make the outfit, and all that jazz. So, why not put tassels on your ears and flowers in your hair? I like pom poms on my purse and fur on my coats too. It’s a crazy world.

6. Whistles Mini Double Zip Purse

Whsitles Double Zip

Mini is definitely the new wallet/purse size to covet. It seems as though everyone is using a cardholder and maybe a coin purse. I, personally, am not able to work with just a cardholder as a wallet, but I definitely want something more compact for my coins, notes and cards. I often use small handbags and have to drop the contents of my wallet loosely into the bottom of my bag. This wallet is juuuust right.

My ASOS Wishlist: March Fashion Favourites

ASOS for me is a one stop shop, where I can find all my fashion needs. First place I look if I’m in need of a wardrobe refresh is my always loyal pal, ASOS.
Every month,  I like to reassess my wishlist, looking at items I’ve kind of got over and delete them, and set aside items that have been there the longest, using these as the items I know will stand the length of time in my wardrobe.
Here is March for you.

It’s a confusing time. The days here in Melbourne are ranging from 10-35 degrees Celsius, which means your body and your mind can’t decide what items it wants. So you will see a nice array of fashion pieces here that I was loving all this past month.

  1. Miss Selfridge Petite Check Gingham Top Co-Ord

Gingham is going no where fast, investing in a few gingham pieces will never be a bad choice. This top is beautiful with its eyelet lace details. As part of a co-ord it is beautiful too, but I’d love to punk it up a bit and put it with distressed skinny jeans and buckled boots. Don’t tell me you can’t see how great that would be.

2. Santa Cruz Boyfriend T-Shirt With Screaming Hand Back Print

Santa Cruz Tshirt

Graphic Tshirts have always been a love of mine. Some of the skate brands have some of the best graphics on the market. Trends are great for making a certain style more accessible. Santa Cruz screaming hand graphics can be epic, and this one is a definite winner. Perfect for a lazy day where your graphic tee does all the hard work for you. Some sneakers and jeans in any style will make this tee a simple winner.

3. ASOS RIDLEY Skinny Jeans in Washed Black with Skater Flame Print

Flame Jeans

These jeans were an instant love for me. I’m noticing myself pick items with something extra going on. Who wants two dimensions when you can have three?

Give me flame covered jeans over regular jeans any day!

4. ASOS 90S Round Sunglasses With Yellow Coloured Lens

Sunglasses Yellow

Yellow lens are channelling this 80’s vibe that has been around a lot this season. Whether you want to go all out and team these with a band tee and flared jeans, or a sweet summer dress, it doesn’t matter. They do a lot of the talking for themselves.

5. River Island Denim Trucker Jacket With Poppy Embroidery

Denim embroy jacket

This baby was in the new in section of ASOS and sold out very quickly. You can check out River Island’s online store here to try and snag this baby. Otherwise let’s all wait for this perfect combination of feminine and masculine style come back in stock shall we… Let’s hope there are some more of this limited edition greatness coming back soon.

6. The March Strappy Heeled Mules

Black and White Mules

Mules are another trend that just doesn’t seem to be disappearing. I’ve got my eyes on these because the patterns caught my eye, the black and white will make them effortless to style and not to mention, they can be dressed up and down.

They are almost making me forget the fact that winter is on it’s way and soon enough open toe shoes will be almost a no go.

Thanks for stopping by,

Don’t forget to follow the blog for more fashion posts coming soon!

What’s on my ASOS wishlist: February Fashion Favourites

Welcome to my new series. Monthly, I’ll post the items I have been loving on ASOS, that have been sitting under that infamous red heart button. I spend far too much time looking on ASOS for the perfect pieces. Under the Saved Items red heart, we lust over the items we soon hope to own but may only dream about.

Disclaimer: I am a broke university student, many of these items I will dream about but never own.

  1. One Above Another Mini Skirt In Petrol Glitter With Flame

flame-skirt

This skirt was an item I instantly fell in love with. One Above Another isn’t a brand I’ve ever bought but this item had me searching the archives for more bold, statement items. I’m not the only one loving outrageous pieces at the moment. The more bold, the better.

2.Fila Relaxed Sweatshirt With Deconstructed Sleeves

fila-sweatshirt

Fila was a brand I remember being ‘uncool’ in the 90’s when I was running around wearing whatever mismatched items took my 6 year old’s desire. What was uncool is now what you want to be wearing; this is particularly true in sports brands. My own styling of this sweatshirt wouldn’t be with sweatpants and a cap but with ripped jeans and sneakers for a chic street wear look. Comfort and style are key this season and I personally hope it is a trend that never leaves. The colour blocking on this sweatshirt are what really sell it for me.

3. adidas Originals Haze Coral Gazelle Sneakers

adidas-sneaker

Adidas are still going strong and all you need to do to get me on board is to incorporate suede or pink. Suede is an always for me. Pink is a new obsession, along with the rest of the fashion world it seems. This would be the most versatile sneaker in my collection for sure, pink making this boyish style instantly more feminine.

4. Daisy Street Oversized Shirt In Gingham Check

gingham-shirt

I like to believe I don’t follow trends, but it’s probably safer to say I jump wholeheartedly on board with some and steer clear of others. I’ve always loved gingham and I’m so glad to see it everywhere at the moment. My ASOS saved items/wishlist has many many gingham items, but when Daisy Street make such affordable and on point items like this one, it seems far more attainable.

5. Glamorous Pom Pom Hoop Earrings

glamourous-hoop-earrings

I love me a good pom pom. These wouldn’t be my first pair of pom pom earrings but I certainly hope they will be my next. Something as simple as a statement earring can cost under $10 and you can make the top half of your outfit pop. Just like sunglasses, these babies can transform a simple outfit to a bold one.

6. Vero Moda High Neck Floral Mesh Maxi Dress

maxi-floral-dress

Here, you can see the evidence that Autumn has begun. I’m still very much channelling summer to be honest as I’m not ready to say goodbye just yet. This dress is everything I love. While colour is absolutely dominating my wardrobe currently, this will be the type of item that will pull me back into some darker shades as the weather cools down. The perfect dress that you can dress up and down. I’m thinking this would look perfect with your killer black ankle boots, leather jacket and fedora. You know I’m right.

My Top 4 Ways to Wear the White Sneaker

Trends come and go: The classic white sneaker looks like it’s here to stay.

And here are my top looks for wearing comfy white sneakers any day of the week- every day of the week if you like.

1. Winter Layers – We are seeing a lot of winter layers on the streets for fashion week. By teaming your winter threads with some tight pants and sneakers you’ll be giving yourself the ultimate look of effortlessness, complete comfort and street style goddess vibes.

2. Jeans – ripped, skinny or boyfriend. Whatever form they come in, jeans are a girls casual best friend. How could you be more comfortable or fashionable than in your favourite jeans and white sneakers. This is not a look that will fail you.

3. Dress – I personally love dressing down a feminine item like a dress. Nothing is more playful than a dress and sneakers. Cool and feminine while also casual and chic.

4. All white – All black is always an amazing look, and everybody knows that. But pairing a white sneaker with an all white outfit is just the cherry on top for an amazing go to look.

Street Style Envy: Spring Inspo

Spring doesn’t feel far off now, in fact it’s only 5 days away, and this means big things for my wardrobe (and yours)!!

Spring to me means more colour, light layers and patterns. It’s also about fun accessories like sunglasses and hats, some of my favourites. Spring also means, no skipping a leg shave day, trying not to look like you’ve never seen the sun before and pedicures are practically a must. Extra work, but it’s all worth it to feel the sun on your skin and to invest in some new great accessories!

Here is some street style inspiration for you, so you can start thinking about what you want to see in your wardrobe in preparation for spring!

See you in the warmer weather
